‘Really enjoyed the day, socialising as well as ‘arting’. Definitely recommend, delicious food.’

‘The camaraderie of working with like-minded people and advice gained from everyone on progressing and completing projects.’  November 2018

With traditional French style luxury accommodation, delicious cuisine and professional art tutors our art retreats help all levels of artists to develop and make progress whilst getting a taste of the beautiful French countryside.

From complete beginner to accomplished artist our ‘Blends and Blossoms’ art course is designed to enable you develop your own style and artistic talents through the inspiration of exploring real rural France.

With the encouraging coaching of your art tutor Glyn you will develop your skills of effectively blending colours or shading for your subject matter and gain accomplishment in the use of perspective and observation through exploring spring time local village and countryside scenery of the Haute Vienne.

The days will be comprised of tutor led sessions, excursions to local focal points, opportunities to sketch and plan ‘en plein air’ (weather permitting) and time to further embed what has been learnt and develop your artwork at the studio.

As a mixed media course you choose which medium you wish to use. We appreciate many people have their preferred artist materials and as such we advise you bring your own artist materials with you. For those just starting out or wishing to try a new medium we provide a watercolour or pastels starter pack and some replacement materials for acrylic painting.

When booking please note if a watercolour or pastel starter pack is required.
